Safe Anchor Trust Ltd
Registered Charity 1100071
Company No 4700044
Company Limited by Guarantee

Safe Anchor Trust was established in 1995 to support and continue the canal trips project developed by the Probation Service in 1993.

By December 2015, over 220,000 passengers associated with 750 community groups had enjoyed outings on our boats. The primary aim of the Trust is to provide access to the canals for special needs groups, those with health and mobility problems, and socially disadvantaged groups. It also seeks to support groups who often have difficulty in taking part in everyday leisure activity.

A major focus is to support organisations that require social and recreational activities to maintain or improve the health of their users.

Safe Anchor relies solely on voluntary contributions and donations for our service, for which it is extremely grateful.

We are proud that all our work is underpinned by voluntary effort, and every penny contributed goes directly to support the service we provide.

All our boats are skippered by qualified skippers, all of whom have undergone Disclosure & Barring Service checks.
